TASSONOMIA INVENTATA
graduation project
2023
IFM project, mentored by Christophe Renard, Alice Litscher & Stéphane Wargnier
Fictional projectt
Pop-up installation proposal imagined for Panconesi.
“Inventare. Finding, with imagination or ingenuity, and mostly through studies and experiments, something that did not exist before. Finding, hidden behind human behaviors, masked behind animal traits, imaginary beings who live across the ephemeral line between reality and fantasy. They are tangible, yet so elusive. They unveil themselves to us, they magnetically attract us. And us, we are left with nothing but to observe.”
Tassonomia Inventata considers the possibility of deceiving the perception of the gap existing between the digital realm and reality. Using photogrammetry (3D scanning from real life) and storytelling to design four imaginary characters, the project aims at enabling an “Haute Couture” approach towards 3D image making.
The result is a pop-up installation proposal that will allow visitors to engage with the imaginary beings (digital moving images) in an experience that aims to root digital into tangibility.
